Smartfish har tillsammans med 2008 Scandinavia och Naked utarbetat en annons som ursprungligen var tänkt att kommentera en artikelserie i Aftenposten runt produktionsmetoderna av fiskolja. Annonsen blev stoppad av Aftenposten. För att följa upp skapades en annons för att kommentera detta, som i sin tur blev nekad av Dagsavisen. Debatten går dock vidare på bloggen till Smartfish - här.
